Map Animator Pro is made by Marco Belli, P.IVA IT04089790242, Via Cesare Battisti 25, Bassano del Grappa (VI), Italy, who is the data controller for everything below. Map Animator Pro talks to our licensing and scene-building service (a Cloudflare Worker we run) for a few specific things:
Your map provider API keys (Mapbox, MapTiler, or any other paid source you connect) stay on your machine and are never sent to us. Your After Effects projects, compositions, footage and rendered output never leave your computer; we only ever see the numbers listed above, never your finished work.
To catch a licence being shared well beyond what one person or team would reasonably do, our service keeps a same-day count, per licence, of: how many requests it made, how many different machines used it, and which countries the requests came from (a coarse, network-level estimate from the request itself: not GPS, not anything the plugin asks your OS for). If a licence crosses an unusual threshold, this briefly slows its requests and flags the account for us to review by hand; it does not lock anyone out automatically, and a false positive (someone travelling, a reinstall, a second work computer) is expected to happen and to resolve itself. These counts are kept for a few days; a flagged review note is kept for up to 30 days. None of it is used for advertising, profiling, or sold to anyone.
Our service runs on Cloudflare (Workers and key-value storage), which processes the data above on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. Licence validation itself runs on our own licensing server. Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd (trading as Paddle), our payment provider and Merchant of Record: they receive your billing details directly to process the purchase; we never see or store your card number.
Device and licence records are kept for as long as your licence is active, plus a grace period, so a reinstall doesn't cost you an activation. Session tokens expire on their own within minutes. Deactivating a licence (from the plugin, or on request) removes its device record. Usage counts and any review flags are deleted automatically on the schedule described above.
You can ask us what we hold about a licence, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (which deactivates the licence). Write to the address below and we'll handle it directly; there's no self-service portal for this today.
